FAIRNESS 4 Our Ocean is built on a simple but profound belief: If the world can finally see the ocean clearly, the world will finally protect it.
WE DREW THE LINES-THE OCEAN NEVER DID.
THE OCEAN DISREGARDS THE LINES ON OUR MAPS
A current crosses them.
A fish swims through them.
Pollution can move beyond them.
A storm doesn't stop for them.
THE BOUNDARIES ARE OURS.
THE OCEAN IS SHARED.
MOST OF WHAT HAPPENS IN OUR OCEANS GOES UNSEEN,
BUT IT STILL HAS AN EFFECT OUR LIVES
THE HEALTH OF OF OUR OCEAN IS THE HEALTH OF OUR FUTURE.
Temperatures.
Pollution levels.
Changing currents.
Effects on marine life.
Over fishing.
International shipping.
Rampant coastal development.
Intensifying Storms.
Poor water quality.
Exponential increases in human activity.
Solutions exist. Scientists, governments, sensors, satellites, communities, and organizations may each hold different pieces of the picture.
WE CALL THEM MANY THINGS, BUT THEY'RE ALL ONE BODY OF WATER.
The Pacific.
The Atlantic.
The Indian.
The Arctic.
The Southern.
We gave them names,
We drew boundaries on maps,
THE OCEAN DID NOT.
It moves around our planet.
Connecting ecosystems,
Communities,
Economies,
Food,
Weather,
And generations.
What happens in one place doesn't necessarily stay there.
THIS IS FAIRNESS 4 + TANZLE.
FAIRNESS 4 helps us ask better questions.

Not so technology can decide what matters,
SO THAT PEOPLE CAN SEE MORE OF WHAT MATTERS.
